A journey with a purpose for 2020

According to the Mental Health Foundation, Mental health problems are one of the main causes of the overall disease burden worldwide. It is estimated that 1 in 6 people in the past week experienced a common mental health problem.

Its not hard to see why....

We live in society which barely pauses for breath. Many of us struggle with the pace of life, a lack of peace, mental health issues (particularly among the young) and there is certainly a prevalence of extreme stress which so many of us face daily.

Do we ever pause to think ‘is this all there is?’

Could it be that there a dimension of existence which we just can’t see or experience because of the way we’re living our lives?
We may think ‘one day I’ll slow down.... things will be better when....’
The problem is that ‘one day’, that ‘when’ seems as far off as ever.
Could it be that the time is now? Could it be that this next 12 months could change your life for the better? Could you be about to embark on a journey which will make you feel more fully alive than you have ever been?
God’s desire is for you to be fully alive, aware of every dimension of existence, to find peace even among the inevitable storms of life.
The Year of Pilgrimage 2020 is an opportunity for our whole community to pause, to reflect and take a deeper look at the balance of our lives. Just trying one new thing from the following pages could make all the difference........
Give it a chance, but if it doesn't work for you, try something else, try several things. Open yourself to the possibility that life can be different, fuller and deeper.
